Over the past month, people from The Community Church and our partners in ministry The Peace River Presbytery wrote Bible verses and words of encouragement on the interior walls of The Community Church Fellowship House. We dedicate this space to God, the work of the Holy Spirit, and to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the world. There is a verse from the Old Testament that is often cited as the inspiration for this spiritual practice, Deuteronomy 6:9, Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.(NLT) This sharing of verses and words of encouragement is being done prior to the covering and sealing of the interior walls and serves to remind those gathered and all who enter this space from where we draw our strength. This act of faith becomes a part of our story, a story we pray is told for years to come.
Together, we continue to build upon a foundation of the truth of God’s word through the Gospels.
