Welcome to our first Blessing of the Pets at The Community Church, and Babcock Ranch’s first event like this.
Pastor Matt will be leading this service and offering a blessing for each pet or animal that is in attendance.
This year we will be gathering at Hillcrest Park in Babcock Ranch. Hillcrest Park is located at 16180 Babcock Trail.
We will meet in the grassy area near the parking lot of Hillcrest Park. Please watch the ground carefully for uneven areas and fire ants.
The event will run from 10:00am – 11:00am.
A program will be available on this page on the day of the event so you can follow along with the sections we will read together.
Just a few requests to help make this a fun and safe event for everyone in attendance, even and especially the pets and animals.
1.) Please be sure that your pet or animal is on a leash or in a carrier if necessary. We know that not all our animal friends are as social as we are.
2.) As human guests to this event, I encourage you to ask owners if it is ok for you to approach someone else’s pet or animal before reaching out to pet or greet another pet or animal.
3.) Please have the necessary equipment for cleanup if it is necessary.
Each human is responsible for their pet or animal, and we look forward to seeing you both.
This is an event for the whole community, you do not need to be a member of The Community Church to participate, we just ask that you have an open heart to recieve these blessings and prayers as we come together to give thanks for these precious gifts God has given us to be our companions and friends on this journey.
TCC is planning another event like this in October to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi who was known to love and animals and include them in prayers and worship.
